My name is Irene Hajisava.
After many years of practice while volunteering at ground zero 9/11,
I came to an epiphany.
We are designed to heal.
In private practice for over thirty years, I specialize in Psychosensory Therapy, Trauma, Grief, Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) , Phobias, Emergency Response and CISM(Critical Incident Stress Management). My practice includes, but not limited to Individuals, Families, Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Responders, and Healthcare Providers.
My mission is to provide education and treatment for trauma recovery and emotional wellness.
Irene Hajisava is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in practice over 30 years.
She has advanced training in Family Therapy from the Family Training Program of the Long Island Institute of Psychoanalysis, as well as advanced training in Disaster Mental Health from The International Critical Incident Foundation (ICISF), where she is currently an approved faculty member. Irene worked extensively with the 9/11 first responders and survivors both at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, including trauma work and debriefings. Currently Irene is on the support staff for Concerns of Police Survivors providing trauma and grief counseling for families of police officers killed in the line of duty.
Irene is a level II EMDR therapist and has treated police, firefighters, paramedics, combat veterans and civilians impacted by trauma. EMDR therapy is effective in treating trauma and one of the top researched treatments for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) Irene has had advanced training in Havening Techniques, this is a revolutionary technique based on neuroscience she is a Trainer as well as a Practitioner.
Havening has been shown to treat phobias, chronic pain, disturbing memories, panic attacks and trauma.
